Took both my animals here and had only amazing care. One of my cats is very skittish around people, so i thought he'd flip. Nope. He was calm. Treatment was affordable. If i moved back to Maine, id go back here in a heart beat.

Walked into Timberland Animal Hospital this morning, respectfully and calmly asked, with witnesses, to speak to a vet about making it right because they almost killed my cat, and the receptionist said without even asking the vet, “the vet will not speak to you” and went to the back room to call the police to threaten me with criminal trespassing. DON'T WORRY GUYS YOU ALMOST KILLED MY CAT BUT I'M THE CRIMINAL. Disgusting that the vet wouldn’t even speak to me before the receptionist called.

The vet i saw is very pleasant and answered ?s we had in a manner we understood. great lady.

Have respect for your pets.

The new vet is terrific. Very compassionate during a difficult time. She's definitely won me over.

November 8th I visited for his scheduled vaccine appointment. I brought up the concern of tapeworm to the Vet and she came back with half a pill on Dontral used for cats AT THE VERY LEAST 12 WEEKS OR 4 POUNDS. The vets exact words to me when she gave it to him were "We shouldn't give kittens this medicine this young, but we're going anyway." My cat was barely 11 weeks old and weighed only 3 pounds. I called two weeks later when my cat began passing a clear mucus stool and vomiting clear mucus every hour. The receptionist Becky, told me this was normal and it would be over in 2-3 days. Well the 3 week mark came and my cat's condition only worsened. He hadn't eaten and hardly drank water in over a week. You could see his hip bones and he wouldn't move. He was lethargic and would cry if anyone touched him and anyone who knows my cat knows he's the most sociable and lovable little guy. I spent all of Thanksgiving morning at the Emergency Vet in Brewer who wanted to hook him up to IV's and admit him because of how severely dehydrated and sick he became. I wasn't able to afford it so he was given a lot of supportive care such as fluids, nutrients, and anti-nausea meds to help him eat. Two days later he was able to eat again and he stopped vomiting, his stool is solid, and he's being the happy kitten he was before. The Doctor at the emergency vet said he should have NEVER been given that medicine and if properly given it should have never made him that sick!

The 1 star reviews are from a crazy girl and her friends making up stories to get out of paying a bill. The medication she's claiming killed her cat is 100% not realistic. Not even a little.

Vet here almost killed my friends cat and when she went back the vet wouldn't even speak with her. Instead they called the cops. It's pathetic that they not only didn't know enough to give the cat the right meds, but she won't even own up to what they did wrong. If you care for your animals don't go here.
