I am sure the beer is great, but maybe they could offer friends of beer drinkers something more than tap water without ice.
I encourage anyone passing through to stop in and strike up a conversation with someone at the bar, see why the locals have endearingly nicknamed the black bear brewery: orono's living room. Not to mention great scrumptious and clean beers!
Beers are good and seem to improve each year.
Awesome local microbrew pub. Check out their MSB (Maine Spruce Beer) made with white spruce tips and maple syrup only in the spring time. Otherwise drink any, literally any, of their other stuff which is all terrific.
Nice local Brewery we visited several times. A nice selection of very good beers. Orono has plenty of free parking nearby and is walking friendly.
